Offering therapeutic video counseling from any location.

Deep inside of every one of us, there is a knowing that we exist for more than just making money and watching Netflix. Our lives have a purpose.

Our greatest struggles are indicators of where our soul yearns to grow. These challenges are the invitations into more authentic parts of ourselves.

You don’t have to be alone on the journey. No matter what’s been done to you, or what you’ve done, you deserve a caring and judgment-free space to heal.

My approach to psychotherapy is holistic, and my framework is psycho-spiritual in nature. I believe that the mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and relational health of each human is intimately and profoundly connected in ways science is only beginning to understand.

Spiritual psychotherapy initiates clients into higher levels of awakening. It is a life-changing, profoundly sacred healing journey towards self-acceptance, and a more meaningful existence.

You can have a life of passion, significance, and authenticity.

It is possible to find freedom from self-limiting patterns, traumatic experiences, and create a life that feeds your soul.

When we interpret our journey through the lens of the soul, we can not only change the very core of our existence in this lifetime, but the experience of future generations and our souls experience in future lifetimes.

Leslie Christine

When I look back over my entire life - the wounds, extreme challenges, obstacles overcome, education, healing, and everything in between - I realize I was groomed for this task my entire life.” ~ Leslie Christine

Hi, I am Leslie. Thanks for checking out what I do. I don't think anyone wakes up one day and decides to become a therapist. I arrived at this juncture because of a yearning to understand my own emotional struggles, and the struggles of those closest to me. Everything I teach in my practice is deeply rooted and grounded in my own experience, yet personalized to each individual client.

My purpose in this lifetime is to bring understanding and compassion to the emotional, sexual, and spiritual pain caused by unconscious cultural and generational wounding, and to guide people towards more intimate relationships with themselves, and the sacred.

My with an emphasis on Jungian shadow work, my approach is holistic, psychodynamic and comprehensive. I take into account family of origin, personal archetypal patterns, cultural conditioning, generational trauma, and the collective climate, all of which influence our thoughts and behaviors daily.

I bring awareness and compassion to the parts that are unseen and rejected. I am comfortable in the dark, in the grief, secrets, fear, shame, compulsions, and wounds from which most people turn away. I view every human experience and emotion as necessary, and sacred.

My emotional pain, and my desire to understand it, started early in life, and so did my educational pursuits. I received a BA and an MSW from Monmouth University. After graduate school, I went on to study hypno, somatic, logo, and Jungian archetypal therapies; eating psychology, nutrition; and most recently human sexuality at NYU. Every workshop, training, and degree was motivated by my need to make sense of my internal landscape, the behavior of those close to me, and my undeniable connection to the non-material world.

I am honored to be answering my calling through my practice. I offer individual and group sessions in my Atlantic Highlands office, virtually online, and in the beautiful paths of Hartshorne Woods. I am available for public speaking engagements and transformational workshops.

I humbly serve the Divine, and honestly believe everyone deserves the gift of therapy. To learn more about me, and the work I am passionately pursuing, follow me on Instagram.

SERVICES

THERAPEUTIC RITUALS

Individual Therapy

Therapy is self-care, and should be accessible to everyone. Individual therapy sessions can be booked for 60 or 90 min..

Holistic Sex therapy

Holistic sex therapy not only addresses the physical symptoms, such as lack of desire, but the underlying emotions and cultural norms that are frequently the cause of the problem.

Not only can this exploration help people understand some of the roots of what they experience, it can also help them learn about ways their sexuality has been impacted, and how their bodies respond to these ingrained stories.

Together we shine a light on cultural programming, review generational traumas, uncover core beliefs and heal the effects of traumatic sexual experiences.

Talks & Workshops

Through small groups held in living rooms or centers, I teach people how to shift shame, blame, and negative rumination to powerful life lessons.

My groups are part teaching, part interactive group sharing. They foster connection, healing, and empowerment. Providing manageable and sustainable tools for people to apply right away.

Contact me if you’d like to discuss the possibility of me hosting a presentation, group therapy, or facilitating a workshop on creating your best life.

Couples Therapy

When we choose to open our hearts and share our lives with another we are always faced with an enormous challenge, and an even greater opportunity. Being in a romantic partnership will bring up all of our deep rooted fears, and unconscious survival strategies.

Couples therapy can be expensive, but it's nothing in comparison to the financial and emotional cost of divorce. I promise you, your current day circumstances can shift. My sessions are incredibly effective. You and your partner will walk away with new tools and insights every session. Great relationships aren't found, they are made. If you want to have the kind of relationship that your heart yearns for, you have to create it.

A Word About Insurance

I do not take insurance, or participate in out-of-network reimbursement. Let me explain why.

I understand therapy is expensive, and cost is often the reason people don't seek out the treatment they need.

Becoming a self-pay practice was not a decision I took lightly. For the sake of my emotional well-being, and to preserve the quality of care I provide every client, I decided not to work with insurance.

Insurance, super bills, and out-of-network claim forms require practitioners to submit a psychiatric diagnosis from the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual.

Insurance companies also have input on treatment plans and duration of sessions!

Insurance companies operate on a medical model, which means they require a diagnosis to establish that you have a medical necessity to seek services in order to pay providers. The majority of insurance companies don’t consider relationship issues, existential issues, life-transitions, personal development, or self-improvement as a medical necessity.

The potential negative consequences for clients if given a diagnosis on a receipt in which they submit to their insurance for reimbursement - it will become a part of their medical record. While that might not be such a big deal right now, it may become one later on if you want to: get life insurance, work in the financial sector managing other’s assets, regularly handle firearms, or seek employment in any sector in which your decision-making might be called into question due to your emotional state.

I feel that people should get the help they need without fear, stigma, or reprisal for making their mental health and personal growth a priority. I feel practitioners should be given the freedom to guide clients through normal, natural, life circumstances without having to pathologize them.

We are witnessing a crumbling of societal structures, a shift in health care, education, and politics to name a few. I am here for you during this powerful tumultuous shift here on planet earth, regardless of your current financial situation. I am willing to work with clients at reduced rates if necessary, and or payment plans. We will make it work, because everyone deserves therapy.
